Everything about your account: signing in, security, privacy, appearance, language and time zone, accessibility and notifications.

Account settings at a glance

The account settings gather all personal settings in six sections: a list on the left, content on the right.
Signing in, registering and invitations

You sign in with email and password. An invitation link activates your account, and registration works through it too.
First start, onboarding and notices

After your first sign-in you confirm the beta notices and see the welcome page.
Accessibility settings

Under “Accessibility” you adapt font, motion and colors of the writing surface to your needs.
Active sessions and signed-in devices

The device list shows where you are signed in. There you sign a device out remotely.
Appearance, theme and font

In the “Visuals & Editor” section you set theme, editor font and time zone.
Changing email, password and display name

In the account settings you change your password, email address and display name; the first two need confirmation.
Client protection shield

The shield encrypts your local drafts and locks Illumentis after a pause with a PIN or password.
Confirming your email address

After registering, you confirm your email address through a link and set your password at the same time.
Core theme of a project

The core theme records the theme of your project and shows where your characters are heading in relation to it.
Data access and account deletion

You download your account data as a file or delete your account, both yourself in the account settings.
Forgot and reset password

Don’t remember your password? With a link by email you set a new one without signing in.
Keyboard shortcuts

The “Keyboard shortcuts” page lists the shortcuts Illumentis actually has, in three groups.
Language and time zone

With the language switcher you choose German, English or Ukrainian; you set the time zone in the account settings.
Notifications

The bell in the header shows you notices from Illumentis, for example about tickets, suspensions or security.
Privacy and public profile

Under “Data & Privacy” you decide what Illumentis sends, who can message you and what others see.
Recovery key and account recovery

With a recovery key and a recovery password you get your account back, even without your password and two-factor device.
Two-factor authentication

With two-factor, signing in also requires a code from your authenticator app.
