Collaboration, export and projects
Work on a book together and pass it on: shares, co-authors, editing, beta readers, export to different formats, backup and import.
-
Shares and beta readers
With shares, you give guests, such as beta readers, a limited part of your story to read.
-
Managing co-authors
Co-authors write along with you: you invite them, set the book scope and can revoke access.
-
Editing and change suggestions
The Editorial/publisher level allows change suggestions and export, but no writing of its own in the text.
-
Exporting a manuscript
You export a book in several formats in one go and check it first with the pre-flight check.
-
Beta reader ratings
Authors rate beta readers with fixed attributes that are exclusively positive.
-
Central trash
The central trash collects the deleted entries of a project and keeps them available for restoring for 30 days.
-
Contribution record and contributors
The contribution record is your personal summary, and the contributors list shows everyone who took part in the book.
-
Export and import (overview)
The “Export & Import” hub leads to all file-related tools with eight tiles.
-
Export history
The export history shows who exported what and when, and offers finished files for download.
-
Export studio
In the Export Studio, you decide what the title page, dedication and imprint of your exports contain.
-
Exporting the story bible
The story bible is a reference document as a PDF, built from the modules of your project.
-
Feedback exchange
The exchange is a bulletin board where authors offer beta feedback for their genre.
-
First-page blind tasting
In blind tasting you submit the opening of a chapter anonymously, and others vote without seeing a name.
-
Guest view
Guests read shared content in a reduced view and comment depending on their access level.
-
Importing a manuscript
The manuscript import splits a file into chapters and scenes and shows them as a preview before you apply them.
-
JSON backup and import
The JSON backup saves your project in one file, and the import restores it with a preview.
-
Project overview and areas
The project overview shows your books and leads to all of the project’s tools in five area groups.
-
Royalty split
The royalty split suggests a share for each contributor, calculated from the word contributions to the book.
