Who can do this?
All signed-in accounts can see the page. Active accounts with author permissions and no community restriction can take part. To take part as a club, you have to be a club admin of the club you choose. The team creates events.
Events and challenges
Events are time-limited writing campaigns with a word goal; you take part on your own or with a club.
What is it for?
The “Events & Challenges” page in the progress hub is the most detailed view of the area. It contains your profile picture, title, frame, badges, the talent tree and the “Events” section. This section shows active writing events; taking part is voluntary and possible while the event is running. If none is running, it says “No event is currently running.”
For a personal event, you choose “Join”. After that it says “You're participating.”, and your progress starts at zero. If the event has a word goal, a bar shows the progress as a percentage; when you reach it, “Goal reached!” appears. The count is recalculated every time you open the page.
For a club event, you pick one of your clubs under “Select a club…” and then choose “Join as club”. The members’ words are added together. There you can expand a “Leaderboard” that shows the clubs with their words.
How it works

Open “Events & Challenges” and go to the “Events” section.
What you see afterwards: Active events appear; otherwise it says “No event is currently running.”

Your data
Illumentis stores your participation and the counted word total. The words come from your writing in the app. For club events, the club adds up its members’ words.
Limits
Only one participation per event is possible. Club events have a leaderboard. An event does not commit you to anything. You cannot create events yourself.
