Who can do this?
All signed-in accounts manage their own awards, including guests and beta readers. Others only see what you have not hidden and what your profile does not keep private.
Badges, titles and frames
Badges, titles and frames are cosmetic awards; you decide what others can see of them.
What is it for?
Illumentis has three kinds of cosmetic awards. Badges recognize milestones, and you can own several. A title is a short honorary title, and a frame surrounds your profile picture. You wear one title and one frame at a time; “No title” and “No frame” are valid choices in their own right.
There are two views. You reach the simple “My badges” page through the “Achievements & Talent Tree” tile in the progress hub. There you hide badges from others with “Hide” and show them again with “Show again”. The detailed management is on the “Events & Challenges” page: there you upload a profile picture, choose a title and a frame, control visibility per badge with “Badge visible to others”, hide all of them at once with “Hide all”, and mark up to three badges with “★ feature”.
Illumentis awards badges based on fixed conditions. The check runs when you open the badge list. If the condition disappears for a badge that is set up for it, Illumentis withdraws the badge again. Hidden badges stay visible to you.
How it works

In the progress hub, choose the “Achievements & Talent Tree” tile.
What you see afterwards: The “My badges” page shows your badges; if you have none, it says “No badges earned yet.”

For a badge, choose “Hide” or “Show again”.
What you see afterwards: The badge is now visible or hidden for others.

Open “Events & Challenges” and, under “Title”, choose a title you have earned or “No title”.
What you see afterwards: Your title is selected; “No title” removes it again.

Under “Frame”, choose a frame or “No frame”, or upload an image with “Upload profile picture”.
What you see afterwards: The frame preview shows what the frame looks like.
Your data
Illumentis stores your awards with their timestamp, your hidden badges, the badges you feature, your chosen title and frame, and your profile picture. A new profile picture replaces the old one. If your profile is private, Illumentis hides badges on your profile page.
Limits
Each account wears at most one title and one frame. You can feature at most 3 badges; the interface checks this limit. Uploading a profile picture is limited by frequency. Illumentis decides which conditions trigger a badge and shows only some of them.
Frequently asked questions
How do I get a badge?
You meet the condition, such as “Book Published”, and open the badge list. Illumentis checks at that moment and awards the badge.
Who sees my badges?
Other authors see the badges you have not hidden, as long as your profile is not private.
How many badges can I feature?
Up to three.
Do hidden badges stay visible to me?
Yes. They still appear in your list.
