The revision X-ray shows which scenes have a goal and conflict recorded, and the scene ECG shows the pace.
When revising, it helps to look at the structure from the outside. The revision X-ray, the reverse outliner, groups the scenes of a book by POV character. The color of each scene shows whether a goal and a conflict are recorded in the scene metadata: “No conflict recorded”, “Only goal recorded” or “Goal + conflict recorded”.
Below that, the scene ECG shows the word count of each scene as a wave chart. If several scenes without a recorded conflict follow one another, it warns of a possible pacing lull. This way you quickly spot sections where little happens.
The evaluation shows only what you have entered in the scene metadata. Missing details are not necessarily a problem in the text. They are a reason to take another look at the scene.
On the book page, open the entry “Revision” under “Tools & Analysis”.

The evaluation reads the scene metadata and does not create any data of its own. It shows only whether goal, conflict and outcome are present, not their text.
The ECG derives the height in a simplified way from the details: a recorded conflict is shown high, only a goal medium, both empty flat. There is no numeric value for conflict. The warning appears from three scenes in a row without a conflict. Scenes without a POV are listed under “No POV character”.
When at least three scenes in a row have no recorded conflict. The message reads “Several consecutive scenes without a recorded conflict - possible pacing lull.”
No. The evaluation shows only whether details are entered in the scene metadata. The text can still contain a goal and conflict.
No. It receives only the information whether goal, conflict and outcome are recorded.
