The community overview brings together six ways to talk with other authors.
The community is the area for exchange with other authors and does not belong to any single project. The overview shows six tiles: “Forum”, “Clubs”, “Messages”, “Mentorship”, “Feedback Exchange” and “Writing Buddies”. The same areas are listed as a menu to the left of the tiles, so you can switch between them. The overview itself contains no posts, only the entry points into the areas; its notice text names it as the place for the forum, clubs and exchange with other authors.
In the main menu, “Community” opens a selection menu. It contains the “Community overview” and three quick links to “Forum”, “Messages” and “Clubs”. You reach everything else through the overview.
Ideas for writing have an area of their own, “Inspiration”. There you find the daily prompt, the worldbuilding jam, blind tasting and the Library of Alexandria.
In the main menu, open “Community” and choose “Community overview”.
What you see afterwards: The overview appears with six tiles.
Choose a tile, for example “Clubs”.
What you see afterwards: The chosen area opens.
Switch to another area through the menu on the left or through “Community” in the main menu.
What you see afterwards: You are in the new area.
The community is open to accounts with author rights. Pure guest accounts do not see the area and, if they open its address, are redirected back to the shelf.
The overview itself only shows links and stores nothing. What the individual areas make visible about you is described on their pages and in the privacy settings of your account.
The daily prompt, the worldbuilding jam, blind tasting and the Library of Alexandria belong to “Inspiration”, not to the community overview. The width of the menu on the left can be adjusted and is remembered in your browser.
The menu only appears for accounts with author rights. Guest accounts have no access.
In the “Inspiration” area, not in the community overview.
No. It applies system-wide to your account.
