Year in review (Wrapped)

Available Free Last reviewed: 24 Oct 2026

The year in review sums up your writing year in three numbers and can be downloaded as an image.

What is it for?

You reach the “Year in review” page through the “Year in review” tile in the progress hub. At the top you choose the year: the current one or one of the two before it. Below that, three tiles appear: “words written”, “active writing days” and “books with progress”.

With “Download as image” you save a PNG file with the title “My {year} as a writer” and the three numbers. The image is created on your device and contains no other text from your projects. Sharing is a manual step; Illumentis does not publish anything itself.

The review only counts activity in your own projects. If no writing activity was recorded in that year, it says “No recorded writing activity in your own projects yet this year.”

How it works

  1. In the progress hub, choose the “Year in review” tile.

What you see afterwards: The page with the year selection appears.

  2. Choose the year.

What you see afterwards: The three tiles show the values for that year.

  3. Choose “Download as image”.

What you see afterwards: Your browser saves the file illumentis-wrapped-YEAR.png.

Who can do this?

Accounts with author permissions see the year in review for their own account. Guest accounts are sent back to the shelf.

Your data

Illumentis calculates the numbers from the writing activity in your own projects. Your browser creates the image locally; it only leaves your device when you share it yourself.

Limits

You can choose the current year and the two before it. A book only counts from its first recorded writing day; words written before that are missing from the total. The numbers only apply to projects you own, not to projects where you are a co-author.

Frequently asked questions

Which years can I choose?

The current year and the two previous years.

What is on the image?

The title “My {year} as a writer” and the three numbers, nothing else.

Why are words missing from my total?

The total counts from the first recorded writing day of a book. Anything written before that is missing.
