In a club you discuss in threads; club admins manage members, invitations and battles.
The club page shows the club’s threads on the left and, for members only, club battles, pending invitations and members on the right. With “+ New thread” you start a discussion thread with a title and a post that all members can see. In threads, you reply to the thread or to individual posts.
Club admins use “Invite” to invite people by DisplayName#Tag, assign roles with “Promote” and “Demote”, take members out of the club with “Remove”, lock threads, delete posts, and change the name, description, visibility and languages through “Edit”. Every member can leave the club with “Leave club”.
A “Writing cabin” is a time-limited club tied to a writing challenge. When the challenge ends, it becomes “Archived”: readable, but without new threads. Club admins can keep a cabin with “Convert to permanent club”. With “Challenge”, they propose a club battle to another club.
Open a club, choose “+ New thread” and enter a “Title” and a “Post”.
What you see afterwards: The thread appears in the thread list.
As a club admin, choose “Invite” and enter “DisplayName#Tag”.
What you see afterwards: The invitation is listed under “Pending invitations” until the person accepts, declines or you choose “Revoke”.
For a member, choose “Promote” or “Demote”.
What you see afterwards: The role switches between “Member” and “Club admin”.
As a club admin, choose “Challenge” in the sidebar, pick the target club, time period, “Game mode” and “Share of active members (%)”, then “Propose”.
What you see afterwards: The battle is listed as “Proposed” until the other club responds.
Members can start threads and reply. Only club admins can invite, assign roles, remove members, lock or delete threads, delete posts, edit the club and propose or answer battles. All members can report other people’s posts.
Your posts appear under your display name; after you leave, they show “former member”. Invitations go through Name#Tag. Club battles count words from the members’ writing in that time period.
Archived clubs allow no new threads. A title can have at most 255 characters, a post at most 10,000. A battle is scored by the average across the chosen share of members, not by the raw word count of the club; 1 to 100 percent is allowed. The Author clubs page describes the hub, founding a club and languages.
The interface shows threads only to members. People who are not members of a public club see “Join” at the top.
Progress counts as the average across the chosen share of members (rounded up), not the total word count. The modes are “Who achieves more” and “Who reaches the goal first”.
“Proposed”, “Running”, “Declined” and “Expired”.
It becomes “Archived” and stays readable. Before that, club admins can convert it into a permanent club.
