Who can do this?
Anyone who can manage the related share may rate, so owners and co-authors. You cannot rate yourself. Only the rated person files a dispute. The “My Beta Reader Ratings” page is open to every signed-in account.
Beta reader ratings
Authors rate beta readers with fixed attributes that are exclusively positive.
What is it for?
The rating system makes reliable beta readers visible. As an author, you rate a person you have shared a book with, using the shares list. You choose from fixed qualities: Constructive, Trustworthy, Thorough and Punctual, and you can optionally enter a genre.
There are no negative attributes and no free-text field. For each share, you rate a person once and need at least one attribute. Beta readers see all the ratings they have received on the “My Beta Reader Ratings” page, including accounts that only work as a guest.
If you are the rated person and think a rating is unfair, you file a dispute. The platform administration reviews it by hand. In the shares list, “Show ratings” displays the total number and the share of each attribute for every beta reader.
How it works

Open “Sharing” and choose “Rate beta reader” for the share.
What you see afterwards: A dialog with the fixed attributes opens.

Choose suitable attributes and optionally enter a genre.
What you see afterwards: At least one attribute is selected.

Choose “Submit rating”.
What you see afterwards: “Rating submitted.”

As a beta reader, open “My Beta Reader Ratings”.
What you see afterwards: The page shows the ratings you received, with genre. If there are none, it says “No ratings received yet.”
Your data
A rating consists of the chosen attributes and the optional genre, with no free text. The overall rating shows the number and the percentage share of each attribute.
Limits
The attributes are fixed and exclusively positive. There is one rating per share and rating person. The genre has at most 255 characters. The platform administration decides on a dispute, and a result does not appear right away.

Can I give a negative rating?
No. The attributes are fixed and exclusively positive, and there is no free-text field. You choose at least one attribute.
Can I rate the same person more than once for one share?
No. There is one rating per share and rating person. A second attempt is rejected.
What happens to my dispute?
It goes to the platform administration, which reviews it by hand. At first, the page shows “Dispute submitted.”
