The exchange is a bulletin board where authors offer beta feedback for their genre.
The feedback exchange is a bulletin board with open offers. It is system-wide and not tied to a project. You offer beta feedback for your genre and find other authors for a mutual exchange.
An offer consists of a genre, for example High Fantasy, and an optional short description. It appears under “Open offers”. For other people’s offers, you choose “Express interest” and then see “Interest sent - waiting for contact.”
The exchange only brokers the contact. It does not release any texts itself and does not trade any content. The actual release of a text afterwards happens in the usual way, through the shares of the respective project.
In the community, open the “Feedback Exchange”.
What you see afterwards: The page shows the “Open offers”. If there are none, it says “No open offers right now.”
Enter a genre, for example High Fantasy, and optionally a short description.
What you see afterwards: The fields are filled in.
Choose “Post offer”.
What you see afterwards: Your offer appears in the list.
On another person’s offer, choose “Express interest”.
What you see afterwards: It then says “Interest sent - waiting for contact.”
All accounts with permission to create projects use the exchange. If your community access is blocked, you can only view offers, not post or accept them. You cannot express interest in your own offer. An offer stays open until someone expresses interest or it is closed.
An offer contains the genre and an optional description and is visible to other authors. You release texts only later, through a share.
The genre has at most 50 characters, the description at most 2000. The exchange does not release any texts itself and does not trade content. You create a share for a match in the sharing area.
