Who can do this?
All signed-in accounts see their own talent tree. Your profile shows others only how many nodes you have unlocked, and only if you allow it.
Talent tree
The talent tree shows your awards as paths of nodes; what is still far away stays veiled.
What is it for?
The talent tree consists of several paths with nodes and connections between them. Each node belongs to an award, that is, a badge, title or frame. You do not unlock nodes yourself: a node counts as “Unlocked” as soon as you own the matching award. A visible node that you have not reached yet carries “Not yet reached”.
The principle is called fog of war. Nodes without a predecessor are visible from the start. All other nodes only show “???” until a neighboring node is unlocked. This way you discover the tree step by step. Illumentis recalculates this on every visit.
You find the talent tree on the “Events & Challenges” page in the “Talent Tree” section. You can move and zoom the graph; with “Reset view” you return to the initial state. The tree is purely cosmetic and motivational.
How it works
-
In the progress hub, open “Events & Challenges” and scroll to the “Talent Tree” section.
What you see afterwards: The graph with the paths appears.
-
Read the nodes: “Unlocked”, “Not yet reached” or “???”.
What you see afterwards: You see how far you have come and which neighboring nodes become visible next.
-
Choose “Reset view” if you have changed the section or zoom.
What you see afterwards: The graph shows the initial state again.
Your data
The tree is calculated from your awards and not stored separately. The public profile shows how many nodes you have unlocked, only with your permission and not for a private profile.
Limits
The tree does not show which conditions trigger an award and therefore a node. If no tree has been set up yet, it says “No talent tree configured yet.” A node can additionally trigger a reward in Bookworms (“Reward: talent tree”).
Frequently asked questions
How do I unlock a node?
Not directly. A node counts as unlocked as soon as you own the matching award.
What does “???” mean?
The node is still veiled. It becomes visible as soon as a neighboring node is unlocked.
Do others see my talent tree?
Only the count, and only if you allow it in your profile settings.
