With the language switcher you choose German, English or Ukrainian; you set the time zone in the account settings.
Illumentis speaks German, English and Ukrainian. You decide which language you see with the language switcher. On your very first visit, Illumentis picks your browser’s language if it offers it, otherwise English. After you switch, the texts of the interface change immediately, without you having to reload the page.
The switcher sits on the sign-in page and in the header of the app, and in the menu on a phone. It shows the chosen language as an abbreviation: DE, EN or UK. Your choice applies only to the interface, not to the text of your manuscripts.
The time zone is a second, separate setting. It determines when your writing day begins and ends for the writing statistics, and it is found in the account settings under “Visuals & Editor”.
Open the language switcher. It shows the active language as the abbreviation DE, EN or UK and is named “Switch language”.
What you see afterwards: A list with three languages appears.
Choose “Switch to German”, “Switch to English” or “Switch to Ukrainian”.
What you see afterwards: The interface changes language immediately.
If needed, open the account settings, “Visuals & Editor” section, and choose your time zone under “Timezone”.
What you see afterwards: Illumentis calculates your writing day in this time zone.
Everyone sees the language switcher, even before signing in. Every signed-in person sets the time zone for their own account.
Your browser stores the language on this device, not your account. On another device you choose it again. The time zone is stored in your account and applies on every device.
If a text is missing in the chosen language, Illumentis shows it in English. The language changes only the interface, not your manuscripts. Until you choose a time zone, Illumentis calculates the writing statistics in UTC.
If the German version of a text is missing, Illumentis shows the English one. This affects individual texts, not the whole page.
No. The choice is stored in the browser of each device. Choose the language once on each device.
