The central trash collects the deleted entries of a project and keeps them available for restoring for 30 days.
In Illumentis, deleted items do not disappear right away. The central trash in the “Export & Import” hub lists deleted worldbuilding entries and books in one place. Each entry shows its type, name, deletion date (“deleted on …”) and the remaining days (“… days remaining”).
The retention period is 30 days. Within that time, you put an entry back with “Restore”, and it then disappears from the list. After the period has ended, Illumentis cleans up the entry, and it can no longer be restored.
The trash contains characters, locations, factions, rules, world history events, languages, artifacts, subplots, means of transport, maps, books, glossary terms, TODOs, research items, foreshadowing and motifs. Deleted chapters are in the trash of the respective book, and deleted projects are on the shelf.
Open “Export & Import” and choose “Trash”.
What you see afterwards: The list shows deleted elements. Without entries, it says “Trash is empty.”
Find the element by type, name and deletion date.
What you see afterwards: The remaining time is shown next to it: “… days remaining”.
Choose “Restore”.
What you see afterwards: The element appears again in its area and disappears from the trash.

Deleted entries are kept with all their details for 30 days and are permanently cleaned up afterwards. During that time, they exist only in the trash.
The period of 30 days cannot be extended, and individual entries cannot be permanently deleted early here. Chapters, projects and individual margin notes have their own trash.

In the trash of the respective book, not in the central trash. Deleted projects are on the shelf.
Not in the central trash. It stays until the period has ended.
