Who can do this?
Starting the export requires an active Vastitas studio of the project owner; a trial period is not enough. Owners and co-authors with access start the export. Guests, even with editorial access, do not export the story bible.
Exporting the story bible
The story bible is a reference document as a PDF, built from the modules of your project.
What is it for?
The story bible gathers the worldbuilding modules of your project into one reference document as a PDF. You choose with checkboxes which modules are included: characters, locations, factions, rules and languages. That gives you a reference work, for example for an editor or for your own overview.
The export runs in the background. While it runs, the page says “Generating export …”, and afterwards the download link appears. The entry is also listed in the export history.
Images are not yet exported. The story bible is part of the Vastitas studio. You pass the finished PDF on by your own means, for example to an editor or an illustrator who does not need access to your project. The selection of modules determines how much of your world it contains.
How it works

Open “Export & Import” and choose “Export story bible”.
What you see afterwards: The page shows “Which modules should be included?”

Tick the modules you want: characters, locations, factions, rules, languages.
What you see afterwards: The modules are selected.

Choose “Start export”.
What you see afterwards: The export is being created. Afterwards, the link to the PDF appears.

Download the PDF.
What you see afterwards: The file is saved.
Your data
The PDF contains the chosen modules of your project. Every export appears with its metadata in the export history. Images are not included at the moment.
Limits
You can choose characters, locations, factions, rules and languages. Images are not exported at the moment. Exporting is rate-limited.
Frequently asked questions
Why do I see “Start export”, but the export is rejected?
The story bible is part of the Vastitas studio. Without an active studio of the project owner, Illumentis rejects the export.
Are images included in the story bible?
No, images are not yet exported.
