The royalty split suggests a share for each contributor, calculated from the word contributions to the book.
When several people work on one book, a transparent basis helps with the conversation about shares. The royalty split proposal is in the book view, on the “Publication” tab under “Royalty split”. It lists the word count for each account and, in the “Recommended share” column, the proposal.
The word count is based on the net difference of each saved version. Someone who only adds one sentence to another person’s chapter is credited with that sentence, not with the whole chapter count. The contribution record uses the same way of counting.
Below that, the worldbuilding contributions appear as a purely informational addition: created and edited objects and the average degree of completion. They do not feed into the percentage calculation. With “Export as PDF”, you create a document for the conversation with co-authors or the publisher.
Open the book and switch to the “Publication” tab.
What you see afterwards: The sections of the publication area appear.
Choose the “Royalty split” section.
What you see afterwards: The “Royalty split proposal” table shows account, word count and recommended share as columns. Without contributions, it says “No contributions yet.”
Read the worldbuilding contributions below as an addition.
What you see afterwards: They show created and edited objects, without changing the share.
If needed, choose “Export as PDF”.
What you see afterwards: Illumentis creates a document with the proposal.

The proposal is calculated from the saved versions and creates nothing of its own. It contains numbers, no texts. The PDF is created at export time.
The proposal is a pure transparency and suggestion function. Illumentis does not process payments and does not accept legal liability for the agreement between the people involved. There is no voting and no confirmation. Worldbuilding contributions do not count toward the share.
No. It is a suggestion based on the word contributions so far. Illumentis does not process payments and does not accept legal liability.
There is no weighting scheme between words and world objects. Worldbuilding contributions therefore appear as a separate, informational section.
As the net difference of each saved version. A single added line in another person’s chapter earns only that line.
